Our staff are dedicated, passionate and committed to providing the children with a nurturing environment that gives them the space to develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually, teaching them to be independent and accommodating of others.
Debbie Coombes ("Debs") is a qualified teacher with a Higher Diploma in Education (4 yrs) from Johannesburg College of Education, specialising in Junior Primary education. Her past teaching experience includes:
5 years of teaching in Johannesburg at a local primary school, as well as more recently doing various locums at Laddsworth Primary, Cordwalles & Hilton Pre-Primary.She has a daughter, Tessa, who is currently at Laddsworth & a son, Jason who is currently at Maritzburg College.“ It was always a dream of mine to one day be able to open my own school and apply the best learned methods of teaching to gain the best potential from each individual child.”
Angelique Muggleton ("Ange") completed her Higher Diploma in Education at Edgewood College of Education and has taught at various schools including:
The Little School – Mbabane, Swaziland, Northlands Girls High School – Durban North and ABC Academy – Lilongwe, Malawi and Hilton College.
She has 3 sons Jamie, Will and Matt and homeschooled her older sons while they lived on their farm in Malawi. She is a dedicated teacher with plenty of experience and loads of ideas to make Hilltops a fun and unique educational experience for the children.

Biance Appel has completed a Bachelors Degree in Foundation Phase and Early Childhood Development through UNISA. She taught Grade 2’s & 3’s at Biggarsberg Primary, KZN for 4 years and since moving to Hilton she has done locum teaching at Cowan House and Hilltops Preschool. Bianca is married and has two children.

A classroom assistant for both the Tiggers and Jungle Room when needed. Her gentle nature is much loved by all the children! She is a fantastic nappy changer and very skilled at helping with craft time.
Always wearing a big smile and ready to help where needed, Sma assists with the Tiggers and the Jungle Room children. She is bubbly and ever- cheerful and you will probably find her on the playground catching, swinging or carrying children!
Julie is the much- loved aftercare teacher. She always has a craft or a game up her sleeve, as well as a snack and a comfy lap! The children adore her fun- loving nature and she often brings her fur babies along for a play.
